Marine Reserve

On the 27th of November 2012. My classroom Room 2 and room 3 went to Te Tapuwae O rongokako. The marine reserve at pouawa beach. We went snorkelling my group was Lillian,LaToyah and Zara.

We swam in a certain area with rocks and seaweed. My group went into the really deep part. The water was freezing. We saw fish, crabs, and EVEN a CRAYFISH! It was BIG!

The best part ever was when we went diving down to the bottom of the sea. And also after the swim when we went for a nice walk to a beautiful picnic area to eat. If I did this again I would go out deeper.

Guy Fawkes

Boom! Bam! Carck! Fireworks bursting into a myriade of colours. Loud noises blaring in my ears. Staring around the neighbourhood all I could see was children yelling and hollering, fireworks being lit up,and adults sitting back watching their children laugh and giggle like there was no tommorrow. My eyes gaze excitedly up at the fireworks that are blasting in every direction, the sky blends in with the fireworks making it more creative.Sparklers are shining as bright as the moon and I am as happy as can be. I love fireworks dont you?

Tourist Attractions in Gisborne

1. Minigolf

Mini golf is a fun way of playing golf. Kids and adults enjoy playing this fun, challenging game. You have a scoreboard and 1 to 4 people can play with you. You have 18 stages. It starts off easy then it gets challenging  And mini golf is in town so its easy to get to.

2. Stingray Feeding
Stingray Feeding is when you go out to Tatapouri which is a beach. Then you go out to the sea with someone and you see different kinds of stingrays. You can pat them and also feed them. They teach you a little bit about stingrays. But that is one of my favorite things to do.

3 .Kaiti Hill
Kaiti Hill is where you can go for a good workout, play on the playground,Walk up the tracks, look at all the history or just go for a drive up the hill. Kaiti hill is a nice place to look out at the beach. I run up the hill with my mum my sister and my nephew comes with us in the pram.

London Olympics

The Best Dessert Ever

The weather was as good as gold. The blazing fiery sun shone down on me.
“Who’s up for an ice-cream?” My mum enquired. As quick as a flash I zoomed into Wendy’s away from the heat. Patiently, I waited as my mum ordered my super mega sundae.
My hungry eyes stealthy spied the lady carefully serving my yummy ice-cream. Whipped cream oozed from the noisy machine. Hundreds and thousands sprinkled proudly on top with a topping of delicious chocolate sauce it drips down the ice-cream like a flowing river.
Gleefully, they hand me the masterpiece it was immense! The shiny silver spoon pokes out the side perfectly. Slowly I devouir it down like a hungry monster. Evrey single bite is like gold. Mmmm! Whipped cream slid down my body releasing a massive burst of lusciousness. I wonder if mum will let me have another one?

GeoGreeting

This is my Geogreeting that I created.

The Battle

1. Setting Up
2. Battle
  3. Bell Rings, Battle Over
Gracefully, the wild wind runs through the grass towards the trees. Me and my friends raced to the best spot (like my mum always says early bird catches the worm.) Surprisingly, the castle from yesterday’s massive battle was still standing. (we are going to win this!) Collecting grenades (which were actually pinecones) guns and more weapons we piled all of them up in one corner.

All ready to go, our battalion secured the premises. Aggressively, the battle begun! Grenades were exploding like popcorn. Enemies were lions growling at us. We scurried around like hard working solider ants (they wont take our land!)

Briinggg! Briiinng! The noisy bell alerted us that the battle was over. We are victorious! Stealthy, looking back at the horrendous battleground we gave our soliders a pat on the back. Now that’s a battle to remember.

We all had a big kai that was amazing!!!!I cant wait until our next performance.

My new shoes

Slowly I slipped on my new stylely shoes that gleamed in the bright ball of flame as I dawdled slowly underneath the sunlight. My eyes gleamed as my shoes outshined the whole galaxy.People stared at me like I was from a whole diffrent universe.Suddenly, out of the blue big drops of rained cried down from the sky.
"My shoes" I mumbled glumly as the rain dripped all over them making them soaked.

Big puddles stood in my way and ozzy thick brown mud. It's raining cats and dogs my mother would say.The sunlight beam had dissappeared behind the cloudy dark shadow of a thunderstorm.I've got to get inside my shoes echoed in my head loudly.

The door of my house stared at me giggling with laughter.I sprinted like a hamster in a ball struggling to climb the steps to the front door.Angrily, the steps grabbed me and pulled me down.My time was running short I had to get to the front door.Out of the blue the sun came back from its hiding spot.Phew! that was a relif.

My writing sample

1. Sailing out to sea.
2. Watching as we go further.
3. Sailing back to Warf.

The weather was as good as gold. My gleaming eyes gazed up and spotted the famous waka Aotearoa one. We sailed out to the deep blue sea sea and peeped down and watched as the ferocious waves crashed upon the waka like two racing cars smashing into eachother. My stomach was twirling around like a ballerina and my throat was dry as the desert. The waka was getting pushed from the waves.
Slowly, we sailed out onto the blue blanket. Hurtfully, the bitter cold wind pierced my cheeks like spears stabbing its archenemy. Gazing down into the murky depths called the sea we couldn’t see the bottom of it
Fear ran down my body as quick as light. The sea peered up at me and smirked an evil smile. We manoeuvred slowly towards the harbour.Dissappointment spread out across the waka. My stomach smiled and cheered because shore was what it was seeking for. Safely, I stepped onto the rusty rackety deck and I was relieved. Now that was a very bumpy ride.

Ko Wai au?

I am Britten.

In my family I have one brother and one sister and my mum. I am the youngest in my  family. The special thing about my family is they never give up on things .
